எண்ணுதலும், பரிசீலித்தலும், தேடுதலும். Tuesday, May 23, 2006இட ஒதுக்கீட்டிற்கு ஆதரவாக!முதலில் இதை ஒரு பதிவாக போடவா வேண்டாமா என்று ஒரு குழப்பம். பிறகு, 'காசா பணமா, செலவா, போட்டு வைப்போம்' என்று தோன்றியதால்... இட ஒதுக்கீட்டிற்கு ஆதரவாக பெடிஷன் ஆன்லைனில கையெழுத்திட ஒரு பக்கம் தொடங்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. இட ஒதுக்கீட்டிற்கு ஆதரவாக சிந்திப்பவர்கள், சில நிமிடங்கள் எடுத்து கையெழுத்திடலாம். நிச்சயமாய் இட ஒதுக்கீட்டிற்கு எதிராக இன்னொரு தளம் வரும்(இன்னும் வரவில்லையெனில்). அதற்கு ஆதரவு இன்னும் அதிகமாகக் கூட இருக்கும். என்றாலும், இத்தனை ஊடக கருத்து திணிப்பிற்கு எதிராக (பார்க்க குழலியின் பதிவு, பத்ரியின் பதிவு ), என்ன அடிப்படையில் கருத்து சொல்லிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறோமோ, அந்த அடிப்படையில், ஒரு கையெழுத்திடலாம். வலைப்பதிவில் பலர் அருமையாக இட ஒதுக்கீடு பற்றி கருத்து சொல்லியிருக்கின்றனர். கடைசியாய் படித்த பத்ரியின் பதிவும், எனக்கு பெருமளவில் ஒப்புதலானதே. பலர் கருத்து சொல்லிவிட்ட காரணத்தால் நான் எதுவும் எழுதவில்லை. ரவியின் எச்சங்களுக்கு பதில் சொல்லும் வேலையில் எல்லாம் இறங்கும் காலகட்டத்தினை தாண்டி விட்டதாக நினைக்கிறேன். இவற்றை தாண்டி சில பார்வைகள் உண்டு. அதை முன்வைக்க உழைப்பு அதிகமாய் தேவைப்படுகிறது. இப்போதிருக்கும் கலவர சூழலில் அது எடுபடாது, தேவையும் இல்லை என்று தோன்றுகிறது. வெள்ளம் வடிந்த பின்பு இது குறித்து விரிவாய் பேச உத்தேசித்திருக்கிறேன். posted by ROSAVASANTH | 5/23/2006 06:34:00 PM

1990 ஆம் ஆண்டு வி.பி.சிங் அரசு மண்டல் கமிசன் பரிந்துரைகளை நடைமுறைப் படுத்திய போது கம்யூனிஸ்டு கட்சிகளே குழம்பிப் போயினர். மேல் மட்டத்தில் வர்க்கப் பார்வையின் அடிப்படியில் சாதியடிப்படையிலான இட ஒதுக்கீட்டை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளத் தயங்கினர். ஆனால் கேரளம் போன்ற மானிலங்களில் அக்கட்சிகளின் பெருவாரியான தொண்டர்களின் ஆதரவை இழந்து விடக்கூடாது என்பதற்காகத் தான் பின்னால் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள ஆரம்பித்தனர். இரவியின் கருத்துக்களை அவர் மேற்கோள் காட்டும் நூல்களின், சிந்தனையாளர்களின் அடிப்படையில் இடதுசாரிக் கருத்துக்கள் என்று நினைத்தேன். இப்பொழுது பிராமணர் சங்கத் தலைவர் போன்று பேசிடும் வீரத்தை பார்க்கும் பொழுது அவரிடம் விவாதம் பண்ணுவதே வீண் என்று தோன்றுகிறது.

There are quite a few posts which highlight people belonging to BCs getting high marks and people belonging to FC having arrears. That is a 100% true. The intellectual quotient of today's so called BC, MBC etc is on level if not more than the so called FCs. That is probably the whole point on whether reservation system for OBC is justified just because someone is born an OBC. Simply not. In fact on average todays OBC are much better of than the people who categories in FC. OBCs are land owners, business people--everything down to the position of chief mininster. Their kit and kiln continue to enjoy the benifits of OBC. Reservation system to the extent of 69% is a highly discriminatory system.
The argument of open seats proportional to population of FC does not hold as much of the open seats are filled by meritorious OBC candidates. In one of the entrance exams of Madurai Kamaraj, the second rank holder in the exam failed to secure a seat because the birth crime was being born to the condemned Forward Caste. Of course a lower rank BC got in. Clearly only one FC out of the many who wrote got admitted. Merit may have not got diminished, but the systems is not fair.
Caste based reservation simply legalizes the caste system. Political parties who claim to be working for social equality have never worked on complete elimation of the caste system--that is total ban on even terminology such as Brahmins, Thevar, Dalit, FC, OC, OBC etc on all circumstance including marriage, forms, education--everywhere. Only a complete LEGAL BAN on social divisions is a start for social equality. A leadership like one followed in China is really needed. They will take pride in their Chinese identity and language rather being of a particular caste. There are no castes in China. For that matter India being a British colony today is still better than being ruled by castist ruler who are only interested in vote bank numbers.
A forward caste Tamil today does not have a state of his own unlike a Kannadiga or a Marathi. He is stateless. A Hindi speaking Muslim, Telugu speaking Reddy, Telugu speaking Naidu, Kannada speaking Gounder have their respective places in the Tamil Nadu's reservation system. A forward caste Tamil student in TN is forced out his homeland Tamil Nadu due to the crime of being born a Forward Caste; he will also be denied a place in the competive exam is Karnataka or Andhra (which will favour its residents)
Political parties favouring reservation in TN appear not interested on what concerns Tamil or Tamil society. They are excited in having a Tamil society in TN divided in castes (unlike the one in Sri Lanka or Malaysia). They dont mind bowing to their Hindi masters. PMK Minister Anbumoney ironically has made a name by making Hindi compulsory on medicine labelling all over India (which is of little use in TN) or DMK Surface transport minister making road signs in Hindi compulsory. When it is necessary to keep their posts they can lose their self respect to support imposition of Hindi. Ramadoss who has will to travel to Delhi, Bombay, Hyderabad to justify the reservation system probably does not think of absence of Tamil schools or learning centers in those areas unlike what is available in other languages. DMK chief who has time to write to PM demanding reservations in the North, seems to have forgotton his demand for Tamil annoucements in airport in Tamil Nadu as promised by him. His interest in the development of Tamil or Tamil society is clearly fake. DMK which sidelines Forward Caste Tamils out of reservation or opporunities is more interested in North Indian votes when they distributed Hindi election campaign pamplets in the last election.
Tamil parties are doing pretty good in having a Tamil name and anti-Tamil policies.
